Placenta Pills

Seven years ago, I became a Certified Association of Placenta Preparation Arts (APPA) Specialist. Being a Certified APPA Professional means that I have had extensive training in safety and sanitization processes. I am certified to meet the OSHA (Occupational Safety and Health Administration) Blood Borne Pathogens Standard 29 CFR 1090.1030, I hold a Safe Food Handling Certificate, and I am held accountable to my certifying body to ensure I comply with the highest standards in the industry.

All this to say that your safety and mine are my number ONE priority.

I immediately began supporting birthing people in the Halton/Peel and Greater Toronto Area. Since then, I have expanded my service to support people in other areas such as Windsor, London, Niagara Region, St. Catherines, Hamilton, Kitchener/Waterloo, Barrie, New Market, Oshawa, Peterborough, and more. We’re often referred by Naturopaths, Midwives, and Doulas. I’ve even had the opportunity to be interviewed by an OBGYN who was so pleased to read and learn about all of my credentials.

The anecdotal evidence states that women who consume their encapsulated placenta feel more energy, have a more balanced mood, are less weepy, and have an abundant milk supply to feed their babies. Amazing!

Although the feedback is almost always positive, over the last three years, I have had a handful of clients who have reported experiencing symptoms such as an upset stomach, a decreased milk supply, and one client who developed a rash. None of them could say for certain that it was a result of their placenta as many other factors had to be considered, and when adjustments were made, and instructions followed, some of the symptoms disappeared. Nonetheless, I always say, listen to your gut; if you feel unwell, STOP.

Thankfully, in 600 clients…it’s only been less than a HANDFUL. The rest…well, the numbers speak for themselves!
